Using your High-Lift jack to clear small obstacles.

Avery was spotting and let Chad get hung up on this rock. Unfortunately, the rear diff is also hung up on a rock so we can't go backwards. Avery isn't spotting next time. ; ) Now for the extraction.

Break out your high lift jack. (You have one right?) Jack up the front of the Jeep...

Note how Chad is holding the jack with the handle in the upright position. ALWAYS hold the jack like this so that the weight of the vehicle does not pull down on the handle (Very dangerous). Insert a big rock under the tire; enough to get the rest of the axle above the one holding you back...

Now the axle is clearing the rock and we are able to enjoy the rest of the trail. Don't forget about clearing the same rock with the rear axle!

y the rest of the trail. Don't forget about clearing the same rock with the rear axle!
